So wait... what exactly are you looking for? Headunit? Front/rear speakers? Subs? Amps? Do you want just plain loudness or sound quality?

just my .02, get an alpine type x sub and a 1000w amp. that will be more than enough and you can buy on ebay brand new for the price range you mentioned.

The vendors here will be able to help you out with some not-so-well-known high-quality SQ subs.

Can't go wrong with MB Quart or JL Audio.

for sub/amp combos it wouldn't hurt to check out Elemental Designs (edesignaudio.com)... I think they even sell a loaded box that fits under the strut bar

sorry to sound stupid. but how does hits unit look?

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KDCX...3.html?tp=5684

i see 6 outputs, front, rear and subs so this should work for having my two amps right?

like i said its been a couple years since i did any car audio, is kenwood still a good brand? reviews look good...

--edit--

also how many watts should i look for in the amps. i want 1 for the 2 10s and 1 for the mids and highs.

kenwood alpine and pioneer are all good quality ive been through all three (change my system 4 times) as for subs if you just want something to hit hard i recomend kicker cvx with a nice amp. I bought mine from the flea market brand new for 120$ as my first set and i didnt have an problems with them. Now i have alpine type R's with a kenwood 1800 watt mono amp.

as for amp watts i would get one with atleast 1000 watts for the subs and 200 for the mids. you can always adjust the power on them, better to have more than enough juice than not enough because it will sound horrible.
