Default need some noob help

Okay, so i wanna do something similar to what the new GTR's have, a headunit that displays gauges, or other car info. Im really not even sure what a system like that is called so i can really search for it. But if anyone knows what its called, or where i can find one, please lemme know! thanks

That should be a pretty expensive unit.

The GTR display has lap time, G-Forces, and engine diagnostics, you may just want to look into a 'carputer' or car computer.

Kwame@z1Auto has done or at least knows how to do this. Look at Post #71 on this thread:

It's pretty cool. Kwame@z1Auto knows his stuff.

i found the same thing over a online wholesaler d2dchina.com . I don't think their prices are too high but for someone who really don't want to spend too much on it.

Here is mine:
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ng-guages.html

You really need to decide EXACTLY what you want, then look for a way to acomplish it.

I am using my OEM navi screen and can, with a special push of the "ENTER" button, toggle between the Navi and the computer.

Your biggest issue is going to be obtaining the data fast enough to me usable. You can get OBDII devices but the inherit slow speed of OBDII makes the data almost useless for gauge purposes. If you just want "WOW" factor then OBDII is perfect for you. Also, if you are NA OBDII may work well enough because none of your perameters will be as critical as in a FI car.

There is a pretty cool little screen I've seen called a dashdaq - it isn't integrated into the head unit but it can still be very informative.
