Default No Sound From System

So I just installed a new Alpine INE-w940 radio/gps unit. It was all going well and was working okay. While putting my console back in, a wire sparked in the back and all my sound stopped working. Now the radio still turns on and the fuses for audio/radio still work. Just no sound at all. Any one have any idea>?

I had this happen to me a couple of years ago. The same thing spark and no sound. As it turns out I blew some thing internally. As it turned out it was one of the speaker wires that grounded to the HU...it was toast.

If youre using the internal amp you may have fried it. You may need to find some one local to help you to trouble shoot it.

Well the first step when working on anything electrical on a car is always to disconnect the battery. This prevents shorting connections and damaging equipment. Which is what happened.

You skipped the first step. The very first step. Don't do that.
