Default No Sound

Finished my Kenwood 471 install. Everything seems to be fine except I have no sound with my Ipod. Radio works great, Bluetooth from my phone, (calls, music, Pandora) works great etc... Everything has sound except the Ipod. I plug it into the USB, it loads everything, (can see the whole library) Hit play, the numbers count as if it was playing, just no sound. Tried a different cord. Any Idea's???
Thanks!!

Maybe you need to turn it up on the ipod?

It's full blast. Tried a memory stick today and it worked great.

That is very odd. I would google search to see if this is a common problem with the unit.

Hmm… that sounds like a software incompatibility.

Check manufacturers’ sites for software and firmware updates for the specific devices.

Just registered it with Kenwood. Told them about the problem. Hopefully they'll get back to me with a solution. I hate to have to rip it out and send it back. The Ipod is the main reason I changed the HU to begin with.

Just read on the Kenwood forum that you have to use the Kenwood cable for the Ipod to work. And it doesn't go into the usb, it goes into the AV inputs in the back. Which means I have to pull the deck out again. I would have never bought this had I'd known.
