Default Pioneer SPH-EVO62DAB install, which wire harness?

Hi all,

I am new to the 350Z. I live in the Netherlands (EU), and unfortunately the Z world is quite small over here, so i am turning to the international community.
I want to replace the head unit with an Android Auto compatible device.

My car is a 2003 coupe with steering wheel controls and Bose system.

I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to installs, the only one I have done so far is an MR2 which was actually plug and play. But then, it did not have steering wheel controls or a Bose system. I have spent hours reading and researching and finally i have come up with the below items:

Pioneer head unit 6.8":

Bose and steering wheel harness (are those generic, or do i need a specific Pioneer-Nissan harness):

Dash trim:

DAB+ antenna:

my questions are:
- is my shopping list complete, or do I need more cables/connectors/parts
- will this harness work plug and play? On most of the Youtube how-to's I see people soldering their own harnesses and I am not sure I am up for that unless i have really clear instructions.

I got a quote from a shop to get it installed but they charged 900 EUR plus extra to hook up my reverse cam so i want to give it a go myself. I have to learn some time right? Any tips and tricks are welcome.

Welcome, but it's difficult to advise someone from the Netherlands with a different market car. But having swapped out the headunit on my '03 preorder track model this past summer, I can offer some suggestions. Here in the states, the early USDM Zs were not equipped with radio/stereo controls on the steering wheel, which means the wiring was not installed either. If that's true for your euro-model Z33, I suspect it will be difficult as well. Also, I'd suggest you look for a vendor who can also provide a custom-made harness for the Z to help with the install.

I purchased my Kenwood Excelon unit from Crutchfield.com here in the states and that custom wiring harness made the install a snap. Pricing was fair as well, and I recommend them to any Z owner here and abroad.
