Will this work? I'm trying to maintain the stock look by keeping the hu, maybe this will be an inexpensive solution.
It might work, but the bose amp would get nowhere near the max potential of the speaker, and would undoubtedly sound horrible due to such gratuitous underpowering. The amp would probably clip like hell above like 1/4th volume and possibly destroy itself and maybe damage the speaker at high volumes. I would not recommend it.

You could maybe get an amp powerful enough for the sub and patch it into the inputs going to the blose amplifier--someone on here did that. I forget who though. This approach may require high level inputs or input converters. I'm not completely sure. Remember though that using high level inputs/converters will introduce a bit of distortion and noise into your sound, but some of it will be attenuated due to crossovers--any high hiss will get cut out by the low pass filter.

Patching into the blose amp's inputs would probably be your only option if you wish to get decent sound out of the JL and keep your stock headunit.

1) Carbon Cloth Interior ,black plastic
2) I plan on using a JL Audio 10" (probably a W3v2)
3) Undetermined on other componets
4) Would a second enclosure, of identical fasion to fit directly across from this one, be possible? and if so....opinions on sound consider boith subs are firing at each other....

other than that, I'd just want the same quality and workmanship seen in Zland's above.

Thanks and I look forward to the followups.

Default Very Interested

1. Color of your 350Z's interior.

Frost Interior

2. Sub drivers you plan on putting in the enclosure.

1 Kenwood XW10DB 10inch sub

3. List if possible, other equipment you will hook up to the system. This is not required but may help him in designing the enclosure to best fit your needs.

Rockford Fosgate 550X amp, Infinity Kappa 60.5 components, Alpine 7995 Head unit.

Thanks

Default Paul Your Comments Regarding Sound Quality

Paul,

I would like to get your honest professional input regarding the sound quality and location of the sub/enclosure combination.

I am definetely interested, however, even though the box looks "fantastic" I am also interested in sound quality. Responsive bass at low volumes, and the ability to produce high volume undistorted bass is my primary objective. I know this result is a combination of enclosure and sub. I am not familiar with the sub installed, just JL to an extent.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response. I think I'm going to eventually just rip out the Bose and upgrade everything and use the Bose subwoofer as a frisbie with my dog.
Peace. -m
