As for the go pro camera, there is a vendor here that sells it cheaper than the website if you check them out.

Wow, the foam is baller! i like it!

As for the goprocamera - thats cool too, but they each serve their own purpose......I use my design no matter what because i can see my hands and review my footage and learn from it..

I got the foam from an old exercise bench, lol. I was looking for the ones they used to put on bikes but couldn't find any!

IF anyone wants a baller gold one, i can ship you this one:

I was remodeling my bathroom and the original owner had gold everywhere....we are putting in satin/silver..

you can find these aluminum plated at any home depot, etc...its just a 24 inch towel holder square bar in gold.

Has anyone ever used the ITB-70? It is getting excellent reviews, and i really like the small form factor, it just sits right behind your rear view mirror, you dont even see it.

Its also $200, 1/5th the price of chasecam

I opted for the staircase bar, which I found to be much stronger, look better than other material (aluminum, steel, pvc, etc), and even cost less. The pics show the hardware I used to make it work with the GoPro. I also have the ball joint camera mount for actual cameras that isn't pictured.

With the wingnuts, no tools are required whatsoever. The reason I used a thumbscrew (3rd pic) is that after everything is tightened down, it allows for very minor adjustments (left/right) to perfectly center the GoPro without requiring the use of tools or extra arms.

Also, I don't know if the distance between the headrest legs are supposed to be universal, but I also drilled out enough laterally to give myself room for adjustment (narrower/wider) for other cars.
