look for artiway, chip will never go bad. the chip inside this key is 4d60, same as OEM Nissan chip, but i didnt use it though i used my original chip from my old key so I didn't have to spend anything for program a new key.

Hmm, but isn't that the same chip that was in the others that failed on people?

I'm not 100% sure what happened to other people but why would you spend extra $80 for program a new key if you already have a chip. i'm just saying...

when you get it "programmed" i seen them do my key..The only thing he is doing for 70 bucks is taking the chip from 1 key and putting it in your switch blade key..They rest u can do on your own

I took mine up to nissan and they cut it for free but I also told them I ordered it from nissan LOL. Here is mine...
See that's the thing..Mines was around $40 BUT the difference between my key and yours, you had to pull all of your buttons out of your old fob because you only had a shell..My key came with everything so the only thing i needed to do was "program" my fob which only takes 20 seconds. Get it cut and remove the chip out of my old key..

So now I have 3 fobs(instead of 2 like you) and 2 keys.

So Nissan programmed the chip for you?

I bought a flip key with remote on eBay .it has build in chip . I promote it so the remote is working properly . I bring to a local store and cut the key. The problem is that I can't start up my car but the key can lock and lock the door. Is there a chip inside the OEM key or what ? If cutting the key is fail then I probably can't open the door with the key

^ There is a chip in the stock key you have to get out. Read this thread, it's discussed in here.

The key you got on ebay probably has the transponder in it, but it will still have to be programed by a dealer or locksmith to work with your immobilizer.

What you did yourself was only program the remote (lock/unlock/panic)

great mod. Did mine some time ago.

My advice would be to glue the chip into the new flip key. If you drop the flip key enough times, it moves. If it moves, your car will NOT TURN ON. this happened to me! luckily i was home and repaired it asap. Overall, cool mod & worth it!
