Nice lap time, Scott! It's over a year since we crossed paths at Laguna, and you're definitely faster now. That's about 2 seconds faster than my best at LS. I can't believe you can stuff such huge tires in that car! How do you like your V710's compared to the Hoosiers you were running? I've been using RA1's and NT01's for several years, and was advised not to go down the Hoosier path due to its addictive qualities :-)

Someone on these boards told me to try out the BFG R1 too, but my Toyos and Nittos seem to just last forever?!?!? Too many tires, not enough time (or money)...

Thanks, Don! Yes, it has been a while! The V710s had great grip, but I only ran them because I had a leaky R6 Hoosier, and I had never run them on the track before. I like the idea of having just one set of wheels/tires for track and autox, and these would certainly do that for me. I also don't want to blow through a good set of autox tires too quickly, so I'm not sure how things will progress just yet. . . The Hoosiers are fantastic, don't get me wrong, but these V710s held their own very well as the lap times suggest. Hoosiers are good for the soul.

I need to be faster in T3, T5, T5-6, T6, T7, and going over (i.e. jumping) the corkscrew. I bet a skilled driver would crack a high 1:30 with this car on a fresh set of Hoosiers, as I know I am leaving a lot on the table in Monterey.

Here is the Z with the 4 x 305 tires at an autox two weeks ago. The tallness of them was apparent, but I think it saved me a shift in a few spots which really let me concentrate more on getting through the lines faster (T4 and T6, especially).

YEY! Now we're talking! I think our green is a tinge lighter.

Here is a 240Z with the same paint code as my Z33.

Thanks! Yeah, the car is very quiet and thats w/ most of the interior stripped. Haven't made any changes to the car to that would make it loud.

I'm in Europe, so my range of tracks is pretty high. However, for my first two years, I've been hitting the Hungaroring F1 circuit. I've gained a bit of experience, with and without the Z.

Here are some of the videos I filmed and edited. Enjoy.

Not a particularly clean exit onto the back straight for the 5.0..........thing still got up and walked away. 1:35 is flying, though.

Is this a time trial or open day? I ask because you were running the A6 and not the R6. What were your hot tire pressures on the As?

Good lap! !
