Can you tell us if you experienced the bounce with the stock suspension? Did the DA Konis fix the problem?

Although I did get them re-vavled ( alot stiffer ) to improve my set up with the front bar I am trying to use. I would wait untill the SA's are availible, I am sure you will be pleased with them. Koni shocks are by far one of the best aftermarket shocks out there. I would not waste my money on the NiSMO set up or any type of coil over suspension for a street car that you plan to drive frequently.

Hey Carter, I think those Photos are Digitally Altered
I decided to sell my S after talking to some people that have actually driven the new one. Dave Wallens had the chance to drive them back to back and if the new one doesn't go to AS then all the current BS's are in for a tough year. Sounds like where ever the new one goes the old one might get draged with it, ala 97 miata- 99 miata. Not sure what I'll get, I'm half heartedly looking for an ES car. It was great Battling you all year. If I manage to dig up an ES mr2, mind showing me how to drive?

Ian.....The ES MR2 is a fine choice but we rather have you in BS.Will be interesting to see were the new S2k is classed. I will be surprised if anything moves to AS because of the continued priority/protection afforded Vettes.

I like how your word that! However ES is a protected class as well. I don't see anything in the future ending up in ES that can take down the MR2's. Seems like a safe bet. There factors for selling the car. I just plain can't afford it anymore espically not without a constant co-driver. I think I can pick up a ES car for 1/4 of what I still owe on my loan. Don't worry I'll be back in BS one day. Probably about the same Day I figure out how to make a living.

Update on the Konis. Thanks C Ray Z!
Recent information from Gordon Benson at Koni- NA. Gordon has said that the first SA Sport shocks will go to preorders when thay are first delivered. He says to place your preorder with a local Koni distibutor and you can be the first to get them.
Just wanted to pass on the good news. He also had part numbers for the single adjustable shocks.
Sport SA Front: 8241-1216 left and right
Rear: 8241-1217 rear
I placed my order today and wanted to pass on the information
It's getting closer

Will Crawford Z Service be carrying these shocks? How much to install?

Hey Carter..... I guess you have stopped your blabber about getting a track model then? :P
I am still shooting to get some shocks and lighter wheels this winter, if I can stop buying other toys they will be a spring time purchase to get some local events in before any big events.

The Konis sound great. Can we run the rear control arm bushings that BJ is talking about in BS?
Cater, your front sway is much stiffer than stock? I though that I would need to run a looser sway up front to get rid of push. Do I have this backwards?
Do the stock springs and Konis make a good match?
-Thanks

This is Carter's Dad,Jim. Re Jagermeister's questions. In Stock class the only handling mods legal for the 350Z are shocks, front swaybar and toe adjustment(camber and castor are fixed on the Z unfortunately). Can't touch springs or suspension bushings or anything else).
We are using a 32mm solid front bar(much much stiffer than the stock 34mm hollow bar). Push is not a problem because of the high rebound and compression of our Koni DA's. My best guess is that our front DA's are about 30% higher rebound and 50% higher compression compared to the new Koni single's. The rears are about the same.
The whole effort with big frt bar and high rebound/compression is to keep the car flat as possible, particularly on corner entry(keeping both front tires on ground to reduce push) and most importantly on corner exit (keeping rear tires planted to eliminate wheel spin). With the current setup we have just a little slow speed push and rear wheel spin(with 275/40 Hoosiers) is near perfect. Regretfully we did not have the current higher shock valving at the Nationals.
With the new Koni SA's I would try the stock bar first to asses push and wheelspin and go from there..

You would not want to run a bigger sway bar without different shocks. In most cases a bigger sway bar will make a car push. In our case we like the stiffer bar and it works for us in our application.

Now I am driving the car on the street with the bar at its stiffest setting (shocks set at softest setting) the car handles much better. I would like to get a stiffer bar in the future and defiantly before the next Auto-X season starts.

Thanks for the info guys & congrats on whoopin' on the S2000s.
I think I'll go for the Koni SAs and the EVO adjustable F sway bar. Sounds like I can't go wrong with starting with the stiffest setting on the shocks then see how stiff I can set the sway bar.
Do you guys run the rear shocks much softer than the fonts?
