Can anyone else comment on the BFG R1 tires? Care to take a look at the production code? I have ordered 8 of them, and they all have been mid-year 2010 production. I am not happy.

I have 6 new tires, and I think mine are all late 2011...I will check this weekend.

Who did you get them from? Mine came from Jackson marketing

Nissan Sport magazine will have a DIY tech article on the BFG R1 in the upcoming issue. Without giving anything away, tires produced in mid-year 2010 should be just fine as long as they've been properly stored.

As someone who has first hand experience, go with 20 mm spacers. There's just not that much caliper clearence without that size spacer on a 9.0 X 18.0" RPF1.

I suppose the 4th number is the date code...if it is, here are my dates

4710 and 4810 mixed across the sets of 6

Note: One side of the tire has 3 numbers. flip the tire and it has 4 numbers..wierd that shows 5F11...

Either 3MM or 5MM...I have 2 of each for you to try out....5MM is what I used. Note: 5MM is the Max limit of what you should use with stock length lugs....so we should test fit the 3MM.

I will be there Friday doing Test and Tune if you wanna swing by...then

Z1 Motorsports sells them pretty cheap....

Upgrading to ARP studs is inexpensive, easy insurance IMO.

Best part, you can upgrade to ARP with them, no more useless studs laying around, and you don't have to pay for the useless studs.

I have like 6 sets of various sized Z1 spacers...They are cheap and do the job well enough.
