Sweet... I just got back to my hotel from VIR, and what a perfect way to wind down the day. Thanks Bruce!

 

haha...the Z's are competing in the GS class with the 996's, Firebirds, M3s, S4s, etc....and the RX8 is competing with the RSX, 330's, and mini coopers in the ST class.....lol.

 

Performance nissan had a strong showing with their cars. Too bad about the #23 shredding a tire and tearing up it's font end but the #33 took 3rd behind two 996's. I think i'm going to be following the grand am cup racing pretty closely this year because of these guys. Grand Am cup racing is pretty exciting lots of lead changes and many different cars that are well matched.

 

BJ's Z finished 7th overall and it wasn't running 100%. It will be fun to follow the 4 350Z's running in GA this year.

 

How can i find out when they are televising more? Speed covers all kinds of foreign rally racing but they neglect good old American grand am races. I bet if they promoted this type of racing the following would grow.

Great news. A first win can't be far off.

 

BJ - what are your thoughts on the new classes in GAC? The Speed commentators are saying that everyone is loving it. It does seem to improve the coverage in that the camera doesn't have to cover the top 3 positions in 4 classes 90% of the time, therefore leaving some time to give some coverage to those a little bit farther down the field in both classes.

I'm wondering what you guys think about it though.
