Innkeeper West
3020 Riverside Drive (Route 58)
$58.00
We get in around 5:00pm Friday and will fly out Sunday morning. These races at the first of the month kill me! I need to close out the previous months business so it's really hard to get away.

There's also a Hampton and Innkeeper in Roxboro if all the ones in Danville are full.

Does the tickets include paddock passes and infield parking? I am on the fence about going but would like to meet everyone.

Damn. I procrastinated too long, and now the Innkeeper in Danville is full for Oct. 2. Anyone want to offer me a little floorspace?

Yes, the tickets include everything.

At VIR, everything is 'infield'. We won't be able to park in the paddock itself, but we will be 'inside' the track. The paddock will be open to pedestrian traffic though.

Remember, we'll have reserved parking for our group. I'm waiting for a reply as to where they plan on putting us in relation to the track.

Hopefully on top of the hill as soon as you cross the bridge... maybe close to the museum, or a little farther down the road closer to the pavilion.

I was not sure how they did their tickets, ie Road Atlanta at most events you have to purchase a camping pass to dirve (not walk) into the infield and a seprate pass to go to the paddock. Thats great how VIR are doing their tickets. I'm starting to tilt

Good deal - I think you'll be impressed.

VIR started the 'Track Country Club' thing around here - check out the website if you haven't already... www.virclub.com

VIR is much nicer than RA IMHO. Haven't seen Barber yet.

Everything I've heard about Barber is that it's the Be-All-End-All of gorgeous facilities... But man are they PROUD OF IT. Rental for the track, not including corner workers and fire/rescue, ends up being almost twice as much as VIR Full Course.

Too rich for our blood. We'd have to charge almost $400 for our events if we ran there... and that is BARELY breaking even ONLY IF we could sell it out.

But hey... never say never right?

Stacy,

Any of your crew going to the GA Cup race at Barber the week after VIR? I am planning to do both.

Doubt it... that's a good eight to ten hour drive for most (more like 10 -12 for me from the east coast of NC).

Sure wish I had Speed TV - I was stuck watching golf, poker, and [EEE! GADS!] NASCAR! (At least it was a road race. Not so bad, all things considered)

Anyway - nothing new to report yet. Just remember, to get the discounted tickets, please register by September 3rd! through www.myautoevents.com

If you don't want to do that, please email me so we can still get your tickets at the discounted rate.

VIR said they were going to try to get us as close to the skid-pad area as possible for Saturday's event - if you guys know of a better place for us to set up, let me know now.

Do we have volunteers to bring the grill? I'm sure we can all chip in for food and drinks.
