Good to hear you're back, I'll send the barckets out first thing Monday morning... And take your time with them, not in a rush to get them back.

I liked this thread when I first ran accross it. The information standpoint alone is great. I do however think that ripping off someone elses design seems like it takes all the fun out of it though. The whole system seems pretty straight forward. I'd like to do the math one day if I could find the information to fill those variables just to see what I came up with... I'm such a nerd
. I believe I would like to educate myself a bit more before trying to put it into action though. As well as some extra cash to get different calipers in case what is on paper doesn't match up to reality.
And as far as my money goes I have mostly heard good things about WilWood so I can only assume they aren't horrible. The Titanic was supposed to be so big it couldn't sink but we know what happened there. So for my money I want it all including the damn $.05 dust boot. (I don't actually know how much it costs but I'm sure its not the determining factor in the pricing of a caliper.)

OK, hope this helps this thread, I have two wilwood, 4 pot, front mount calipers that I'm going to be taking out this weekend (replacing them with 6 pot). I've used them for a good 5 months (street only), again these are for calipers and brackets(as soon as I get them back from Rob) only. Here's what you'll need to complete your kit:
Brake lines
Mounting nuts and Bolts
Brake pads
Rotors
These go for $325 each $650 set brand new and these are close to that condition. Will let them go for $425 for both. There's a picture of the calipers on this thread but I'll take more tonight. https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/152905-volk-gt-7s.html

I got the quotes back. I asked for 50 pieces, 7075 T6 aluminum and Zinc plating. I have also asked them to verify the material and hardness on the originals to make sure we are using the same. The tolerances of the original brackets were, frankly, bad. The holes were ok, but the size was way off. I'm not sure how ours will turn out.
My only concern now is legal and money. I'm not sure if Willwood has a patent on the bracket. I have not found one and I do not want to ask our patent attorney becuase that gets expensive.
I'm guessing the parts will about $37.5 per piece; sold in pairs. Before I make them, make a list so to verify who wants them.
I can also see about different materials and finishes (7075 T7, stainless, steel, anadized, powdercoated...).
BTW, does this violate the forum rules, if so, lets move this somewhere else. Or do I need to sponsor?
