How much for Spring Install?
How much should I expect for springs to be installed on my Enthusiat Z Coupe? I am looking to buy the Eibach 350Z ProKit, and I called a local wheel & tire chain about the installs, and they quoted me $200 per axle!!! They said this high price is due to the Z's independant suspension, and that it takes a long time to do.
It just seems silly to me to pay twice as much for the install than for the actual product.
Any suggestions?

Dang you guys are getting ripped off. The back is literally ONE bolt. You unbolt the one bolt, you pull the rear arm down, you pull out the spring, you put the new one in, you push the rear arm back up, and you put the bolt back in. The fronts are a little more difficult but it is still no more than a 2 hour job at standard labor rate of $80 an hour that is $160. A good alignment is around $100. So don't pay more than $260 for an install and alignment.

I got mine installed fot $120 as well... Alignment should be around 130-150 if you are doing it the same day. If you wait and your alignment gets way off... your alignment costs will definitely be more.

I just bought the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1. Me and a buddy are going to take a shot at doing the install (springs and sways). I figure with the money I save I can buy some new tools. . Should be able borrow a spring compressor from the local parts store. THey can boe purchased for about $40 bucks.

it's not really a DIY project, it sounds easy but for someone who's never done it, it's a little hard. I agree the rear is super easy, but not the front. You have to make sure the the shock direction is correct, and make sure the brake line are routed correct, and also when you remove the factory spring, it's a little scarry... once you done it once, then it's easy

Blimey, I got qouted about US300 by Nissan dealership here in Dubai to install my springs. i am looking around for a cheaper source.
What about Nismo sway bars? I have no tools and no space to work in to install them myself. What do i need if i do install them, or get someone else to do it?
Thanks

Take the money you would spend on install and buy some air tools and do it yourself. I just did it by myself last week, took me about 4 hours. Do a search and find a spring install step by step. The rear springs took about 45 min totall, the fronts took longer but I had no problems. One thing I had to do was use some penetrating lube to get some of the bolts loose. I installed Hotchkis springs because I wanted the rear to come down a little more than the front, and overall I am very satisfied. I am on the stock 18" wheels and will take some pics after I get the car cleaned.
Another tip: In the install instructions I used they mentioned how there was stress on the sway bars and how you had to use another jack the take the weight off to get the bolts out. I think thats becasue they only jacked up one wheel at a time so the sway bar was onder load from the other side. The cure; put the entire front or entire rear up on jack stands, this will take any force off the sway bar and the bolts will come right out.
Good luck!
