Default Flex+EDFC and Stoptech install, got any tips?

Going to start installing this on my G35 coupe this weekend. I have lots of time (1 week) to do the install so I can take my time. Tein Flex + EDFC and Stoptech 14" 4 wheel kit.

Anybody have any tips before I get started? Looks pretty straightforward, I'm good mechanically and have tons of tools. My only real concern is the EDFC - I'm not sure where a safe place is to splice it in to the wiring harness. Also I want to install it in the ashtray, any tricks to getting the tray out and modding it?

i have both products-

my only tips are:

1: for the front heat sheild, you can actually remove it all by taking apart the hub piece and pop the shield off pretty easily, or cut it off-
2. for the EDFC, i tapped into the fuze box for power.

good luck- you'll like both.. minus the squeaking noises

Thanks for the tip, I just cut the dust shield since the rear has to be cut anyway. Front end is basically done, gonna do the rear tomorrow.

Anyone removed the ashtray part in an '05 G35 yet? I want to put the EDFC in there, but I can't find any screws and I don't want to just yank unless I know there are clips that won't break.

I'm thinking of going with the Tein CS and EDFC. How much is can be adjusted. I want to have an awesome suspension as well as be able to adjust it in the car. Using the controller can you make the ride height enough to clear speed bumps? I'm not sure exactly how the EDFC works. Thanx.

EDFC will not adjust height, only damping. It's not an easy install, either. The Flex on soft is a little harder than the regular sport suspension, but not too bad. Try and get a ride with someone in your area to see if it suits you.

Here's my ride with the stuff installed:

Do you know what the minimum rim size is for the Stop Tech 14" that you installed? Is it 18 or 19? Thanks

Boosted, replied to your thread.

I believe you can use 18" wheels, the spokes are real issue. The offsets need to be right so the spokes don't hit the caliper. You can get fitment templates from the Stoptech web site.
