Default RacingBrake BBK

Anyone have these or have any reviews on them? I want to get a BBK but don't want to spend $3000... I got some quotes on Racing Brake for around $2000 for all 4. I don't track the car... mainly for looks(stock brakes look awful small under 20's) and safety with the newly installed turbo kit. Any comments would be appreciated.

I actually installed this kit last week as well, I just haven't posted pics yet. High quality, well built. Rotor's and calipers are huge. I have 18" wheels, and I have about 2mm between the wheels and the calipers.

Price was great, especially when you count the rears also. Right around $2300 with promotional price for 14" 6 piston BBK and new 13" rear rotors, pads, mounts. I also got stainless lines for all four wheels.

Install wasn't bad. Cutting the rear dust shields was a pain, and getting all the air out was rough, too. But everything fit well, and was of excellent quality. (except for two pad clips, which have since been redone by racing brake.)

The kit has great stopping power. I thought my pedal was soft, initially, but now I think it's just that I don't have to apply any force to stop the car.

As far as support goes, I had no problems. If you call them, you actually get a hold of a live person, who is actually knowledgable, right away. That was reassuring. The clip that I had a problem with was sent overnight express to my house as well. So if you're worried about them supporting the product, don't.

Does the Racing Brake kit retain the stock emergency brake?

Yes, it retains the factory drum e-brake system. The 13" rear rotors have a built in drum brake as well, just like the factory rotors.
