Default Racing Brake

I know this forum is focused on Brembo vs. Stoptech vs. AP, but has anyone had any experience with Racing Brake? A 6 piston caliper with 14" two piece front and 4 piston caliper with a 13" two piece rear for $3500 direct from the factory seems like one heck of a deal. Racing Brake gives a 10% discount from published pricing if you buy a four wheel set-up and they offer a 30 day no questions asked return guarantee if you're not completely satified. I'm looking to buy a BBK as soon as I sell the wheels and tires off my 2006. Thanks for the feedback....

Lex, good luck and post pics when you receive them. I was thinking about custom matching Stoptechs to my Silverstone next year. Waiting for something that is awesome is one thing, waiting six months for anything other than building a house is a little long to wait.

He sure didn't. Stoptech pushed it to mid December for the rears and it still wasn't guaranteed.

I didnt know you could buy bigger rotors for the OEM brembos. What brand and where did you get them?

You would need a big brake kit to run larger rotors. The brackets and actual size of the caliper allows for a larger rotor.

Does anyone know if the spare tire will fit over the Stoptech 13 or 14 inch BBK?

Nope.. I couldn't get it over the 12.9" rear rotor with the ST22, so I took it out to save some weight

The kit was delayed for some time. I spoke with Alex a few months ago and the kit was supposed to be ready I believe mid December. Alex did sell his car so the kit was canceled. I will let my rep at Stoptech chime in about what steps they are taking to make sure this doesn't happen. I would say our last 20 orders have gone through perfectly with same day shipping on Stage kits and less than a week on off the shelf BBKs. This doesn't make up for Alex's kit but they are definitely moving in the right direction.

Thanks for clearing that up Greg. Just to let you guys know, the supply issues responsible for the delay of Lex's kit have been solved for some time now and are no longer an issue. We are also in the process of building stock of calipers to support the 05+ G35 and 06+ 350Z which come stock with larger rotors and piston sizes requiring us to develop a new kit with different piston sizes to accomodate the factory changes.

The 350Z/G35 is one of our strongest markets and the positive experiences our customers have far outweight the negative. Lex's kit was certainly an anomaly but we did acknowledge the issue and upgraded his order to a 6 piston front setup at no charge as a way to show our gratitude for his patience. I even offered to deliver the kit to him myself as he lives in Orange County which is less than an hour away from us.

You've seen Jeff post in the past about the changes that are happening with our new ownership and they are really starting to take hold. We have a large amount of kits stocked up built and ready for immediate shipment in popular colors and sizes which is something we did not have the ability to do before. This not only helps us to get common kits out right away, but it also reduces the load on production to allow them to support less popular orders, reducing lead times and keeping you all happy.

2007 will be a banner year for StopTech including the move to our new 70,000+ sq/ft building, release of our ceramic rotor technology, new brake pad options and an even wider range of supported big brake kit applications.

Could you give a few more details about these calipers?

What would be the advantage of these calipers versus the standard 13" front and 12.9" rear StopTech big brake kit?

Would these calipers substitute for the ST-40 and ST-22 calipers in those kits? ...or would they be replacements for the existing 2005 G35 calipers with the OEM rotors?
