I started reading this thread because I'm interested in a BBK and Stoptech brakes... I kept thinking that I would see Lex's Z with the new BBK every time I flipped to a new page of threads... Sheesh...

I hope he got them, or got something else, I'm tired of reading all this without seeing the new brakes...

 

Stoptech is definately slow right now. A little too slow. It went from 30 day lead time to 6 month lead time. We do have a set of Rotoras in stock but not the color that Lex is looking for, which I completely understand. His car will look awesome with the color combination he is going for.

 

It's easy to stock stuff that isn't in demand.

Damn buddy, thats been a long time. I don't know if thats normal. I waited a while but I got mine in a couple months i believe. I purchased the 6pot FR and 4 pot RR

 

I have to say that I'm stunned. I would have thought Stoptech would stop the presses and do something special to get your brakes to you.

 

I just read through all 6 pages and I have to say i'm stunned you still haven't gotten a damn thing. I say you take a trip to torrance and give them a piece of your mind.

I spoke to my rep at SEMA and he felt the same way I do. Really couldn't defend Stoptech and just said it was messed up. Alex, I will call you later today to let you know what I heard.

 

Very odd, I placed my order a few weeks ago and had my brakes a week later?!?

 

This is something very specific to the special color big brake kit. Stoptech's lead time is 30 days and this has turned into 6 months. My rep says this has only happened to this kit. Stoptech has made some special upgrades but that doesn't fix the problem of them not being on Alex's car.

 

Understood, and that would make sense since my kit was a standard black caliper.

They should deliver them, painted not yellow, but in real 22 kt gold at no extra charge - and the VP of manufacturing should not only hand deliver it to him, but install it on his car, personally! StopTech, over 3000 views have occurred on this thread - how many sales do you think you've lost out of those because of the negative publicity associated with this one delay; maybe 1% - that's 30 x 4000 in lost sales baby - that's bad business.

damn - paid for over 7 mos ago and no product! good luck dude - hats off to you for exercising extreme patience...

 

can anyone tell me if our cars can handle the 4 pot calipers iin the rear wheels?...i was told by some mechanic that there might not be enough pressure going to the back to properly setup and utilize the 4 pot (rear) of course im talking about the brembo that comes with the track package....my rear ones are slightly damaged so i wanna replace them with the 4 pot....help please~
