Thumbs up Stoptech BBK

Hey

I want to buy a BBK for my car right now. I was going to go with a Stoptech 14” 355mm 4 wheel kit. Red and cross drilled. I don’t track my Z and I’ve always wanted a nice Brake Kit. So what do you guys think? Thumbs up or Thumbs down? I got $4200 shipped from one of the vendors here but theres a month wait , damn. My second thought was Rotora 14” 6 pot front and 14” 4 pot rear. I really don’t want to wait
Thanks for the help guys.

Get AP racing brakes. They are phenomenal, you can get them from VRT, if you want to see what they look like let me know, we can meet up.

Stoptechs are great BBKs. I have them on my 03 coupe and I want to get a set for my 06 Roadster. I had Brembos on my 03 Evo 8. Both are great brands, but I prefer the red Stoptech calipers over the Brembo golds.

Good luck either way!

This says it all right there. Most if not all BBK's are overkill for daily driving especially in 14". With that said, you can pretty much go with any BBK you want for daily driving. It just depends on how much money you want to spend & which brand/look you prefer.

This is so true. This is only a weekend car, lol. I hardly drive it. I just want it to look good and fill the wheels all nicely.

edit: I need to get the coilovers too so I can lower the car a little

^ Nice! What color calipers are you planning on getting? With your setup, I'd suggest getting them custom yellow to match your Z. It'll also give some contrast to the color of your wheels . Problem with colored calipers is they turn black/dull over time & hard braking conditions but I don't think you'll need to worry about it since it is just a weekend ride . If not, black is always a good neutral color to pick for your color.

Thats funny because I was thinking of getting yellow calipers. I just needed to here is from someone. I know red would also look good. My budget is $4000-$4300 for everything.

Here's a perfect example of custom yellow Stoptechs on a custom Z . Mazzoo's Z is simply hawtness!!!

I think red looks good but with yellow, I always start thinking strawberry & bananas for some reason

I can hook you up with Rotora for around $3500 (6/4) then you have $1000 left for your Megan Coilover. Perfect.

^ Hahaha. I knew you'd like that

Now you just have to decide which brand you want to go with since most will offer custom colors for a certain fee. As I've mentioned earlier, you can't go wrong with any of the ones mentioned above & there are also other options as well.

Good luck & Happy Modding!

Is that molded sideskirts? Looks so good that it seems fake. He should've molded the front lip too.

Yeah, it's a show car so everything was pretty much molded. They also custom built the Wald kit to be widebody as well. There's pictures at that site of the building process.

I have that kit on my car, and believe me you do not want to mold the front lip if you have a steep driveway.
