Default Comfortable Aftermarket Suspension

I test drove a Z today. I can withstand the noises since my music will be playing half the time anyways. However coming from a Accord, the Z's ride felt alot of the road. I drove a G35 as well and it was alot more smoother.

Is there any aftermarket suspension that can give me a smoother ride yet not sacrifice too much of the handling purposes?

I dont want too much of a wheel gap but then I love the smooth quality rides as well. Any suggestions?

I had Koni Yellow SP3 on my accord before and loved it. Now coming to a Z where i have no clue about, i'm turning to you guys for help and advice.

Konis also come for the Z. I have heard good things from it, plus it has a three way adjust. Check the classifieds. I thinks a guy here was selling his with Eibachs.

If a smooth ride is what you are after, you are probably better suited with another car. The Z's ride is busy b/c of its firm suspension (most aftermarket suspensions are firmer), its short wheelbase, and its wide tires. Also, a softer suspension will probably worsen handling...and that's really what sets the Z apart from many other cars.

yeah i get that. It's a sports car i expected that. I'm upgrading from an Accord since I wanted a 2-Seater with a decent ride at least. But i'm just wondering about the options to soften it up a bit. I know many wouldnt recommend it but i'd like to.

I' dont do alot of hard cornering so I can take a lil bit of of loss in the handling department.

You could always try swapping in a non-sport G35 coupe's OE suspension onto your car. They will fit no problem but it will raise your car up a bit. The non-sport shocks aren't valved as tight as the 350Z's and the rear spring rate is lower I believe compared to the revised 350Z springs.

Go with a progressive set of springs like the eibachs, I heard those are softer than stock, and maybe pick up some that are made for g35, because they usually have slightly lower springrates for comparable model springs

so progressive springs are softer than regular and the G35 suspension parts can fit the Z with no mods needed?

I dont want a soft ride, just a softer one than the stock Z. I also wouldnt wana go higher.

The natural frequency [harsh vs soft] is simple to calculate and manipulate to create softness.
Suspension stiffness has little to do with handling if the suspension can hold the tire camber steady...........there is the rub!
Softer springs [20%] with stiffer sway bars [20%] can create a nice situation.
