Default developing camber and traction rods for rear, any interest?

We have a metal fabrication shop that we do custom automotive parts for customers..... I have a 350z as well.....so it only makes sense we try to develop some products. Lowered on coilovers, and the camber in the rear is horrible.

We are developing both camber rods and traction/toe rods. These will be of very high quality and fully adjustable while on the car, no removal needed.

Will there be any interest, we are probably going to do them out of stainless, with all stainless hardware. They will also be polished with red polyurethane bushings (decided against spherical rod ends because of harshness)

My questions..... do you think $200 for camber rods and $225 for tractiom rods is a fair price? I know other options cost almost twice as much. Also, because traction/toe rods will only make sense with camber rods. Possible package deal for $375 for a full set? All these prices are in pairs.

Let me know what you think, would you prefer them not polished and made of lesser material, like normal steel.

Let me know what you guys think or any suggestions!!

timeframe will be within 2 weeks, most likely 1 week. So this is for real!!!

please email me any suggestions at jamisonl@msn.com

I will definately post some pics before I even think about selling them, plus will also have a few sets ready to ship before taking orders, just prefer not to leave anyone hanging.

I will hopefully have some pics posted by mid to end nest week, you wont be dissapointed.

Does anyone know of a solution for camber in the front of the Z?

I was gonna make my own from 4130 steel tube and AN rod ends... went so far as to buy the rod ends but then decided to wait and see what the camber kits from Australia looked like... I forget the name of the place that makes them, but they have a kit that does front and rear for less than $400 shipped.

Jak (on this forum) bought them and posted pics... the kit is basically cam bushings....

I'd rather have rods instead of bushings so I'd be in if the package price for traction and camber rods was less $375.

Polished would be nice, but powdercoated would be fine as well...

How soon do you think you may have some of these?

thanks for the info about the australian kit. Are the camber bushing adjustable though? I have always seen camber bushing as being a pre-set adjustment. I thought rod ends would have been too harsh, but I will definatley look into doing a set with rod ends for the true enthusiasts, price shouldnt jump too much.

I hade planned on having the camber and traction rods available very soon with pics, install pics, etc. I will look into the possibility of rod ends tomorrow and may be able to give some price insight. The ones I am working n right now will look very similar to the JIC rods, with full adjustability on the fly.

Anyone else rather have spherical bearing rod ends rather than polyurethane bushing? let me know as enough interest in both and I could easily make them both available.

Same thing here. I was going to make rods but decided they would not be as inexpensive then the adjustable bushings from Australia .

I need the persons address I got these old rods from, need to ship them back!!!

My vote is for rod ends... But only if they are Aurora or AN certified rod ends... I've seen first hand what can happen when a rod end fails....

The Aussie kit is in fact fully adjustable. I think it can be adjusted around 3 or 4 degrees either side of stock.

Default Camber rods

lsdunique,

Any update on your proposal? More and more Eibachs are being installed and the need for camber adjustments warrant more market selection.

I will have pictures of rods, with pics installed as well no later than tomorrow night. You will like what you see and the price will be very reasonable with a package price for camber and traction/toe arms.

Very cool. How difficult to install? Will most people need a shop to do it?

Default pics

sorry I was a week behind schedule....my bad

here are the pics I promised, will have pics on car in about 2 days.

all stainless construction, poly urethane bushing with grease included.

Tell me what you think about them.....I think they look awesome. They won't even come close to as expensive as JIC...not even close.

I will release pricing in the next couple days, we are possible working on the front, but that would require a completely new upper control arm.

Very nicely done. Full camber and toe adjustment
Why the 2 types of bushings? Will they pass muster for strength?
