Default Stainless steel brake rotors?

So, as we all know, brake rotors often rust. The other day, I discovered that my father's boat trailer has STAINLESS STEEL, slotted rotors. They don't rust. Do they make something similar for the Z?

Most good stainless steel rotors are zinc coated to prevent rust. You can find plenty of em with our sponsors here, or eBay if you are a smart shopper who is not just buying a name to impress your friends.

Stainless IMO would be more show than go. There has to be a wear balance between your Rotors and Pads. Softer Rotor/Harder Pad...great combo really but you will replace a lot of rotors. Harder Rotor/Softer Pad... not as good a combo and you will go through Pads.

There has to be a balanced "Bite" between the two and Stainless offers vurtually no Bite......Its just too Hard

IMO and several Hundred Brake Jobs

^^^ Yeap, there's a reason that rotors are made of a soft metal.

Okay, I should have said: soft, cheap, non-toxic metal.

Rotors really look terrible when they're all rusty. There's got to be a set out there that don't rust, and are still fairly good for performance. I'm doing research!

Do what most do --Paint or Powder coat the non friction surfaces. I do and it lasts for a good period of time
