One piece calipers are still fine for racing. These are from Lou Gigliottis ALMS C6 Vette. The only time I think you would need a monoblock is in Formula one or Le Mans Prototype.

I completely agree. a BBK is completely worthless unless you are tracking regularly your car and or have major power. Upgraded rotors, lines, fluid, and pads are good enough for 99 percent of every modding dude.

formula 1 has a funny brake system... looks like a donut with a carbon disc in the middle... rallye use only monoblock, dtm use only monoblocks, super touring use only monoblocks, ferrari challenge goes with monoblocks.....
gt3 cup has monoblocks..

let say, if you have the budget you use monoblocks. period.
btw... I'm tracking my nismo with my "POS" stock brembo... some heat but nothing excessive for HPDE.. if I'd go further with tracking stoptech would be enough.
oh, just to mention... the nismo 380 RS-C has brembo monoblocks front and brembo 2 pieces rear.

again.. depends from budget and how hardcore one is... I think with autox, hpde you'll never destroy "regular" upgrade brakes.... wilwood or stoptech will work great

Jesus Christ.. I made a mistake I meant 2 piece are fine for racing. not "one" piece.
