Default Brake squeeking

Hey guys...recently my brakes have begun to squeek...but i only have 12,000 miles on my car can my brakes be going already? it doesnt squeek at all times, only after a while of driving if i press the brake pedal down ..say half way theres a squeek..but if i depress it all the way the squeek goes away. i only hear it after i have been driving for about 30 mins or more every now and then, sounds like it is coming from my rear brakes, any ideas??

The pads aren't low. If they were low, you'd squeak all of the time and it would get louder when you use the brakes. You've more-than-likely just got glaze built up on them. You might try this bedding in process which is usually used when new pads and/or rotors are installed.

You might try some brake cleaner also.

i think another solution to glazed pads is roughing up the rotor a bit.

I dont think bedding will work on glazed over pads, just new pads/rotors.
