Default 06 Brakes for 05 z?

Could I buy stock 06 plus calipers and corect sized sloted rotors and put them on my 05? Is it worth it? Or should I get brembo calipers? Will my motegi touge's have the clearance nessisary?

Look at the Nissan catalogue and see if 2005 and 2006 brakes are interchangeable.

If you have the $$$ for Brembo brakes go for it.

Are you familiar with a big brake template?

Something slightly cheaper to consider that improves the stock brakes 50% is the 370Z brakes. There is a thread in the marketplace for them in different options. I drove the 370Z and the brakes feel so much smoother and better than the non brembo's on the 06. I'm considering the upgrade.

You can get the G37's calipers for $250 or so each. I think the 370z's calipers are still marked up to $400-500 for some reason.

I stand corrected they have been marked down to where they should be $260-333 dependant on dealership.

I have 07 G brakes on my 04.5 Z. They work seamlessly and when I went to Summit Point with my buddy with OEM brakes, I had less brake fade than he did. If you can find it for cheap it will be worth it.

I have 07 G35 rotors/calipers on my 04.5. I had my doubts about them working correctly but its the best mod ive did. My brakes have never been so smooth and work amazing compared to the older ones.

The pads are nearly twice the size, the rotors are much much bigger and thicker.

Sick! Ill look into 370z calipers or just g35. Single piston sucks *****! I had a civic punk pull out in front of me, stoped with 2inches to spare. I know this cuz he stalled out and I got out to check... and yell profanity

i did the 03 to 06 upgrade, then to a BBK. If you track your car, a BBK is a must. Look into wilwood thru TCE
