Default Front Coilover Camber

So... If I install coilovers with adjustable camber, do I eliminate the need for aftermarket upper control arms? How specifically is camber adjusted through the coilover itself? Overall length of the shock? Thanx y'all!

Camber is not adjustable thru the coilover, we have a modified double A arm front end. Upper adjustable arms are required for camber adjustment.

Ooohhhh... That must be a general feature. Cause the lower end of the strut cannot be "fixed" to the knuckle with two sets of bolts allowing use of like a camber plate 'er something at the top of the strut. Something like that right?

Its a general statement, and civics, 240's etc etc will be camber adjustable from the top mount.

If they specifically refer to the z and g applications with that language it translates to "we don't know the products we are selling and/or we don't describe them accurately"

Gotcha. Now most dudes doing a standard drop should be fine without adjustable uppers for a while right? Looking at -1.5 to -2.0 on the front camber. I'm thinkin' I wanna be in that range on the fronts anyway, I know it's outta spec n all, but sounds like a lot people get some nice handling with those numbers. Would I run into a problem with asymmetry, like the front left being -1.5 and the right ends up at like -1.7?

Probably, but there is only one way to find out.

EXACTLY!!! the descriptions on literally every dammn website out there is just copy pasted general text...........its ridiculous........

I made this thread to show actual coilovers - as you can see, no camber plates...
ACTUAL COILOVER THREAD:
https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...ic-thread.html

those blanket statements are common to those older cars with crappy mcpherson strut suspension designs......the Z is a long arm SLA suspension design.
