Default 06 Track or 07 Enthusiast?

I'm in the market for a used 350Z. I really want a track model, but was wondering if the 07 Enthusiast is better with the twin intakes? I could always upgrade the brakes on the 07, but would be losing the close ratio tranny and the rays. Agh! Decisions, decisions! Any advice?

07 for sure. Besides the nice brakes, like you said, you can upgrade later. I say go for the new HR motor. It's faster.

If you set up a vote I don't think anyone would tell you to get the 06 over the 07.

Which do you consider more important? The VQ35HR motor? Or the amenities that come with the Track?

I don't know depends on if you get lucky and dodge the oil consumption, but the stock 06-07 wheels are nice only thing I would miss is the brembo's

The gear ratio is the same, no? Just with a higher redline.

Track model: RAYs wheels, brembros, VDC
Enthusiast: VQHR...with 17s, smaller brakes, TCS

I had an '06 track, and the engine of the '07 is really that much better. The '06 is no slouch though and if you don't expect to mod the car, I'd might side with the track model.

Say you add the wheels and brembos from the track model later on. Even on the used market, that's another ~$4K at least.

Everybody has already said that. '07, no dbout. Engine is the key. A DE with the oil consumption problem and less power vs. a smooth revving HR with higher rev limit (7,500 rpm), 80% reengineered with more power?

06-08 Z dont come with stock 17" wheels, all come standard w/ 18 or GT forged 18/19 wheels
