Hey guys!
First post. couldn't find the Newbie intro section but this will do.
I am looking for a 350 and found a wreck. $6,500 for a 2003 with 63k mi.
Front bumper and hood need to go, both dash bags and driver curtain bag.
The one thing that concerned me was what looked like frame mashing...
Does this look repairable???
Thanks for any help.![](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon17.gif)

The frame looks really messed up. With the amount of money you'd end up spending to have some body shop fix the frame, you might as well find another early model, high mileage Z and buy it rather than buying this heap and fixing it.

wtf head on collision with a brick wall at 40 mph or what? stay away frm this thing, you may be able to get someone to repair it, but the problems you will face down the road just arent worth it...

Yeah, I was half hoping someone would say: "Oh that whole piece comes off and you can replace it cheap!" ![Big Grin](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
If thats really the frame then forget it.
After reading through some of these ti would be cheaper to buy something that doesn't already suck... NOT like an RSX

I know i could fix it......but thats based on the pics you are providing...which are really up close...would like to see it all........
It all depends on your "skills" and if you have none for this sort of thing, then depends on "funds"
Take a look at this thread - read it all as there are others that have done the same that chime in on this thread and have links to their repairs/rebuilds/restorations............of course the OP of that thread had his own shop and the skills/experience to do something like this......
Also from the pics.........the z has no traditional "frame" per say......its a unibody car and the section you are showing is a boxed/channeled false frame that extends forward and mounts at the core support, aluminum bumper beam (where the nismo mass dampers mount).
Cutting out and welding in a new section(from donor car - junk yard), pulling the unibody and reworking that area does seem highly feasible from your pics........
From there its remove and replace parts......

Thanks homie.
ps. Looks like I'm def going to go with a 2003 Z.
I checked the insurance quotes on them and the 2003 was about $550 less a year vs a 2005..... Does this make sense or sound familiar to anyone???

yeah it looks like it... no cruise on the steering wheel, no vdc or tcs look like blanks.. I think that's what trim G means
I didn't know they made DE's with the upgraded center console and interior I thought they were HR updates.. too bad. In case you are not familiar the 06+ Z's have the superior HR engine that a lot of DE owners wish they had (like me)
