Should I pull the trigger on this 03 350z??
I am supposed to go do the paperwork on a 03 350z tomorrow. It will be my first Z. I am not really looking for my garage queen but a spring/summer commuter. Even with 74k on it, it's REALLY clean, and the fact it appears to always have been bone stock says alot to me. If I see so much as exhaust and cold air I get shyed away thinking of what a 16yo may have done to that car. I have just started back to college as an adult student and commute 100mi a day mon-fri. Just want a fun, reliable car to rack up all these miles on thats better mpg than my fullsize truck(not any car gotta be a Z). I was dead set all week on it now im getting nervous. What do you guys think?? Hold off for lower mileage? Heres the link to the car- http://www.mcquillenauto.com/profile...zip=&distance=

If it was going to be my baby(more like the only girl in the bar at 10 min to 2) I would definately look for a ultra low mile, but this car is truly in tip top condition and Im going to be putting 30k a yr on whatever one i get so ive pretty much accepted it wont be worth squat by the time i graduate. (new 370 is definite motivation 4 higher education

It really does look good. No matter what year it is, it looks almost new. It looks very clean and well maintained. I think the price is negotiable, but maybe there aren't many 350zs in your area to compare with. If you're financing I would definitely have that price reduced. It just seems like so much for a 2003 model with 74k miles after taxes and interest rate. Again, it depends on what is available in your area.
In comparison, I bought a 2005 Daytona Blue 350z with 34.5k miles in like new condition and completely stock for a little over 15.9k two months ago. An extra 3k gave me 2 newer years and less than half the mileage. I personally know I got a good deal because based on 350zs in a 100 mile radius from my home I paid less than what it was worth. It was cheaper than KBB too, but really, it mostly depends on what is in your area. My particular purchase may be common in San Diego or Miami, Florida.
Something else to keep in mind is the maintenance that it will require as it approaches certain miles.

Looking at the pics from your link turtlez, the brake caliper looks like it has been painted a yellow color. If it really has been painted, that shows me that the previous owner MAY have been into modding the car. Just my .02 because you mentioned how you wanted a completely stock car.
Well I picked it up last night. All I can say is WOW! I dont know why I havent got one until now!. The feel from the drivers seat is amazing, everything is right where it should be to make you feel like your driving a serious track machine. My last sports car was a ram air ta, and while being a hardheaded american v8 guy if someone could of got me to testdrive a Z back then i would of made the switch. Sure it had more power but the feel behind the wheel was nothing like this! And its no slouch, frankly, it suprised the s**t outta me how fast it really is! Definitely have a new Z enthusiast here!!!
You got the right color too looks exactly like mine... Congrats.
One thing though, did you check to see if the fuel lines have been replaced when it was under warranty? There is an old thread here about the hoses being defective and cracking causing leaks. Definately call a nissan dealer with the VIN# and ask if that has been done.
Otherwise Good Luck!

Grats, that Z does look good, but so would any car nicely buffed out
Black looks superb on this car, mine's same color. Going to be modding it at all? Get some rims, drop it would be a good start
