Default No Mo Scratches?

Ok, guys, I drive a black vehicle...I know it's not a Z...read sig. But anyway, i have a few small scratches on it that i dont like, nd my truck is going to be in a show very soon, so i want to get rid of these scratches...catch is, I'm in college, and i have very little money, so repainting is out...what's the best way to fill them in. DOes any of the Scratch-X or anything work well? SOmething that's prefferably not incredibly expensive. thaniks

Scratch-X won't work at all... I recommend 3M

It'll save you some money overall

Scratch-X will indeed work. But I recommend Meguiars Premium Paint Cleaner > Pure Polish > Car Show Glaze > Yellow Wax for a cheap high gloss shine. Better than Zaino, but last only 2 - 3 weeks. If the Premium Paint Cleaner doesnt work you need to move up to a fine cut cleaner. Be very careful using fine cut cleaner because you will dull the paint.

"Bedopin Spike" had it right! I would probably also throw in some Z2. I use more of it than Z5. Only use Z5 after 5-6 coats of Z2. Would also suggest looking at towel offered at dftowel.com if you really want no swirls.

auto magic blue clay bar

Meguiar's medallion paint cleaner (if necessary)

3M machine polish (if necessary)

3M perfect it

Meguair's swirl remover v2

Meguiar's show car glaze

Meguiar's medallion premium paint protection

all applied with a dual action buffer and foam pad, removed with a microfiber towel - will leave the paint clean, swirl free and super deep

Scratch-X doesn't work. It's a non-abrasive that attempts to fill a scratch rather than cutting through it. I have tried it on black, blue, brown and silver without having any luck with it. However, I have used a light-cut abrasive(my brand of choice is 3M) that has cleaned up scratches the only way they can be removed. You can attempt to cover them up(which Scratch-X doesn't do well either) which is good for the short term but sooner or later you have to turn to the big guns.

how small are we talking here?

like swirl mark scratches are actualy scratches?

the zaino will do swirl marks with a few coats, but not an actual scratch.

for that you need to fill it in with something, or touch up paint followed by a nice polishing, depending how deep.

Are we talking "scratches" or "swirl marks"? I admit, I have applied a lot of Zaino. Used several products before Zaino, but after reading numerous "posts", I switched! Z5 will get rid of "swirl marks"! Get the "Kit", follow the directions to the letter! Apply Z5 until satisfied and then move on to Z2. Reapply Z5 at anytime you feel it needs its.

using an orbital buffer does a much better job... I wish I had one b/c there are some things I can't take out... but my friend does. =)
