Default son of a.....

ok so yesterday, Im giving my Z its first waxing, second washing. so I wash, clay bar, wash again, prelok. and finally apply some nice Z2. well my mom asks me to blow out the garage. so I back the car down the driveway, so none of the stuff I blow gets on the car. ok, go do my thing. finish up and go to pull the car into the garage for the night so the wax can dry.(dont use the ZFX, someone told me it hurts the final look and costs money)

well I take one final walk around, and A BIRD TOOK A CRAP ON THE HOOD!!!! I didnt even get the wax off yet!. I didnt know the best method for this, so I just took a damp drying towel, and wiped it off, then reapplied wax to that spot.

stupid birds, can I not have a clean car for -10hours??? they get me before Im even finished cleaning it!

I've got 4 coats of Zaino on now and have had a few bird c*aps and they wipe off very easily with absolutely no mark. Never got that result with a wax protection (always seemed to leave a mark). Zainos good stuff.

where did you hear that ZFX hurts the final look of the car? I just bought some of this stuff... would hate for it to be a waste of money

I forget who said it, he said he tested some products for mr zaino. and while it does make drying time faster, it was their opinion that some quality was lost. if this is not true Im sorry. but either way, its not that bad, cause I cant tell you how many times Ive wanted to wax, but didnt have the whole night to let the car dry. use the ZFX when your in a rush, and if you have time, save your money and let it dry overnight.

the cost is somewhat offset by the fact you dont need the prelok.

It really doesn't have to sit all night. Depending on how warm it is, I've been able to take it off in as little as 2 hours without the ZFX. Sal Zaino says you just wipe a small spot and when it comes off easily without smearing it's ready to come off.

well I have a bad habit of putting it on too heavy, but other than that, the weather is not cooperating, its been freezing around here. and wet and humid, not ideal conditions. Im sure over the summer I can go out on a 95degree day in the sun and itll dry within minutes, but its getting chilly around here now.
