That's just my summer run. In TX, there's a small window of time when we can get pretty good ET/trap, so I'll be waiting for that.

So I had no traction in 1st gear. UGGG! My first few times were better than the rest of them. Our track is 600ft above SL. I did better than some LS1 powered cars and a 370z. The 370z stock 6mt, was only able to pull of 14.0-14.4s at 101-104s that night. I think he got one 13.9.

My best of the night for was 13.8900 at 101.79. 60ft was 9.0646.

My best MPH was 104.51

All my runs I had wheel hop and tire spin no matter what RPM I tried. I tried 2k, 3k, 4k, clutch slipping, everything and nothing worked. I tried pressures from 25-35. By the end of the evening my car was starting to get heatsoaked, and was running slower and slower. So I stopped and let it cool and ran the last run of 13.9.

My car only had K&N Drop ins, HFCs and UPREV Tune. 1/4 tank of gas. I did not remove anything from the car. Tell me what you guys think....

Here are my slips. I was car # 19.

Best ET.

Best Trap Speed

i think 13.8 is not too bad, but for your mods should be much lower, and ur 60ft. is pretty bad so u def. need to work on the launch, a little spin isnt bad but hopping is...i used to launch at 2800-2900 feathering out and pulled 2.0's with the street tires and went 13.7 with just injen intake and nismo cat-back only no tune or anything on a 03 de so u have much room for improvement

SOLO-350Z, good to see you making a few passes on the Nismo. San Antonio Raceway elevation is actually 553', not 600'. It looks like your DA was approaching 2000', which is the norm in TX. It sucks, but we just have to make do.

While your runs weren't spectacular, you did well. Your launch has a lot of room for improvement, but it seems the rest of your runs aren't too bad.

Keep in mind, however, that drag racing isn't really about your fastest time (although this thread makes it seem like it). A good drag racer isn't just fast, but consistent. Anybody can hit a personal best once and never touch that number again. A good one will constantly run the same good times over and over again.

In both videos, it looks like you're giving too much throttle for the track prep and conditions you're having to work with. I'd assume that you're new to drag racing so you don't know [how] to compensate yet. And yea, you're spinning too much. If you have wheel hop, though, just back off. Continuing on through the wheel hop can start breaking things quick. And your 1-2 shift needs work. The Nismo looks good racing down the 1/4 mile, though.

Get your 60' down and shift faster. I bet you lost at least a 1/10th with your shifting....maybe more.

Actually been doing it for 10 years. The Z is way harder to drag race than my TransAm was in 99.

What's wrong with the 1-2 shift? Because I have to baby that shift as 2nd gear will grind if I do it too fast.

ORLY? I never would have known.

Your shifts were slow and your launch was just bad, to be blunt. The 1-2 shift in the HR Zs aren't even as bad as my 3 transmissions that I had/have in my DE Z right now, not to mention that your tranny is just smoother than mine to begin with.

Not sure how much faster I can shift without breaking something. I was shifting pretty fast per others. I will work on it next time.

Been doing this for 10years ?

It doesn't really matter how long tho.
I mean you can say you went to school for 10years but If you didn't really study then you didn't learn anything.

Your 60ft is really bad my first time on my stock 06 with everything stock down to the tires. I've never gone over 2sec in 60ft.

Practice !!

All tracks are different. I had the best times for the other Z's there that night including a orange one with drag radials. This track is known to have crappy track prep. It isn't Houston Raceway Park.

well thats a damn shame...ur 60ft. tells all i need to know for ur run, needs much improvement..i race on street night at my track and there is no prep at all and on the street tires i was pulling 2.0's with shitty *** nittos on my 19's and consistent 13.7-13.8 out of my de with just intake and cat-back, ur car has much more mods and power and can run much better than than my DE back then..just keep practicing the launch and get consistent and hit those gears right thats all there is to it the good times will come

Might as well post up my slow times from a while ago. Boo hoo hoo. Stock 06 with pop charger not using the heat shield. 2.1 60' 13.9 @ 101. Going to post the slip later on tonight.

When you guys slip your clutches at the track. What rpm are you getting it up to I did mine at like 3k and 4k. On the street its sweet. But at the track I don't know why but the clutch constantly sticks to the floor and only at the track. Noi wheel spin or anything. Any help? New clutch setup maybe along with flywheel?

Are we going to start a new list for 25 fastest, or continue building on the current one? I'll gladly submit my timeslip to be put on the list.
