Beat an M3 @ 1/8 mi. Track.

My question is with a decent RT and 60', why did I run such a slow number to close out the 1/8th Mile? Is it my converted intake that is creating higher intake temps. There's a guy who tuned my car with a handheld cypher, and he told me my intake temps were pretty high. 115-130 degrees ambient.

the reaction time has nothing to do with good or bad driving skills whatsoever
the 2.18 60' time is mediocre at best.
Granted you launched better than he did, but that's not saying much. His launch was absolutely retardely bad. It doesn't take much to beat that. The only reason you "won" was that you left the line half a second before him. His elapsed time was quicker than yours was.
As for your car, I have no idea what's wrong with it. Something is definitely wrong with it or else your shifting is absolutely atrocious or your floor mat is bunched up under the accelerator or something. It'd take some serious Stephen Hawking action to make a healthy Z trap 72mph in the 1/8th though...

Ok. I checked my other slip and my 60' was 2.085. Still my MPH at the end of my run was only 72.5.
I'm going to put a heat shield on the intake and maybe switch out to a popcharger Filter. Then Run again to compare if it's any different.

you didn't outdrive the guy.. you only beat him headsup... your 60' time was better yes... but he was still faster.... i'm inclined to believe he left late to make it more interesting for himself... like alberto said... not everyone is all about r/t's... yeah, sure they're nice... but they don't mean everything

I'm more inclined to believe that the guy just didn't know what he was doing and that's why he left late... as evidenced by his horrid 60' time and ET.

My scion tc with a few minor bolt-ons ran a 9.8 @ 73.3mph
My Z hit 80.2mph bone stock the 3rd time down the track.

I'm switching to a popcharger soon, then try the track again.
