Default I'm getting faster. Finally in the 1.9s 60ft.

Tonight we went to the local 1/8 mile countyline dragway in south Florida. The only thing I did different was launch using the 6000rpms map instead of the 5000rpm. I finally started to get consistent 1.9s in the 60ft. I got about 10 passes, and 9 were in the 1.9 with and ETs of 8.7 and trap of 79.7 to 80.2.
Here are a couple of runs, and the video was against this Vette that I kept running with. I'm confident that I'll do a bit better with a 6500 or 7000rpms launch. We'll see next week. I need to ask Jared from Uprev to do that.

Funny....I went to the 1/8th mile track last night too. What tires were you running? I was on Cooper Zeon ZPT tires (normally used for drifting), and they really suck on the street and drag track.

Best 60ft was 2.1. I was running 9.1 et's at 80mph. All I have is a K&N drop in and APS 2.5 test pipes on a stock exhaust.

ps....link does not work.

Your ET is surprisingly consistent. Nice driving.

I'm using M/T ET streets 26x11.5x17, they grip like they should. Hey, if you're trapping 80mph, you should be in the high 8s too. This tires were my best mod for the dragstrip. Is you Z an 07?

Those are some great times dude, I dont think I've ever seen you out there. I go pretty often but have missed a few weeks. Best I've done is a 1.9 60ft with an 8.8 ET at 81mph on 19's with toyo r1 proxy tires. I have a set of drag radials that im going to throw on next time I head out there and see how much more I can drop my times.

Thanks man. I usually go on Friday nights. I like to get there early to get good runs. I'll be there next Saturday for the race against the Cops and get a T-shirt.

That is some high rpm launches man. You should be cutting better than 1.9's.. I did that on stock street tires. On some other street tires since the blower i cut alot fo 1.8's. Practice your launching some more and you will get better.. I got down to 8.6@79 with drop in filter, spacer, y pipe and test pipes.

1.9s on street tires is really good, but remember that I have Coupe, it's a little heavier. Also, since my tires stick well and the high RPMs, I'm in the habit of easing off the clutch, I never drop it. I have this fear in the back of my mind of breaking something. Did you see the video? That's how I do it every time, and depending on what map I choose, I consistent time. I'll try 6500rpms next.
When the temperatures drop I hope my times will drop as well.

Yeah i don't drop mine either. Not preloading anything is what breaks stuff... I always launch from around 3500 and slip the clutch till i feel it moving and then let it the rest of the way out.

dont waste those tires if you arent going to give them hell. on my cobra i pulled 1.6s when i had my s trim on, on motor low 1.7s. the only thing is they kill your gear if you have them mounted on a 8inch wheel, they tend to get taller
