Mustang driver states: "Z" needs NOS/Supercharger to run 13.8
Hey guys. I'm sure some of you know who I am based off of the name.
I wanted to apologize if I offended any of you guys. I hope warm finds someone to race and we get to see the vid. We're just as defensive about our cars as you are yours. I do like the timeslips idea. We may just have to start doing that. But as MGT said on a thread, this is more of an enthusiasts forum than a racing forum, so we just don't keep track of that as much. A lot of the members that race regularly have timeslips in their galleries, but you have to really look for them. Well, I don't want to troll, so have a good one!

No you are more than welcome to stay and talk. We don't usually call people trolls unless they cause problems.
But I think we should setup a my350z vs mustang forum meet at the track. That would be cool and fun.

Agreed, that sounds like a good idea... but then if you guys have consistent runs and smoke us, then you'll have solid truth to back everything up... we can't let that happen, lol. J/k.
I'm all for it. My track experience is limited, so I'm waiting for the snow to melt and the local track to open back up to do some runs
I wouldn't mind meeting some of you folks. Like I said on our forum, I like the looks of the Z and it definitely gets my attention, it just isn't my cup of tea. I'll definitely have to have a look and check out the rides on here, though.

Regarding the other threads smack talk. My car isnt set up for drag racing other than a tire change, Id like to see some of those tools drive a car that handles like its on rails with 14/14k springs, bias ply slicks AND radial fronts and keep the car planted/straight. Worse off-my suspension is not square and thats what makes my car pull left (on slicks only). They all talk crap because most of those guys put slicks on and let their auto tranny's do the driving. How cool is that? Id run any comparable Mustang on video. Ive RAILED every Mustang Ive run.
I rraced a pretty stock mustang GT (brand new with exhaust and springs at the minimum) and it was really easy on the highwau... I didn't even downshift. it was funny. I was waiting to race one for a while. he wouldn't run again since I started pulling on him.
but it isn't a track race so it doesn't mean much to me. just funny. pretty car with the blue color.

The only other older part is the 4.0L v6... it was used in the Ford ranger for a few years before. But they used it for its torque. I don't see a whole lot of "old crap" in the new mustang.

I learned quite a bit more than I thought I knew about the S197 Mustangs. Most of my Mustang experience came from the 80's 5.0L and the SN-95 age.

I just thought I'd state that. I've been guilty of saying stuff I thought was true, but it wasn't. It's good to know about the rivals.
