If you are gonna run a specific track tire, there is no reason to use a drag radial/bias et street. If you are going to drive to the track and not want to swap tires, then a drag radial/bias et street is the way to go.
There is at lease 1
Running in a Class that only allows a DOT Tire, That is the reason these tires were made it the first place.
If you are going Bracket Racing or just test and tune, then you're right.
And DR's Do Not like a Shock Load, thats when they break loose and spin.
The ET Street has a much softer side wall and works better with a stick car.
Another advantage of the ET Street VS the Street Radial on a 350Z with IRS, is that you will get Full Contact of the Tire, with the Radial you will get 75% at best, unless you adjust out your camber
I think 75% is a bit low, but the IRS is always going to be an issue. DR's are not as easy on driveline parts as slicks, though, that much I agree with you on.

Well with my car I have -3/4* camber.
275/60/15 DR's have a 9.50" tread, only making contact on 7.50" max
it takes 10 mins to swap tires at the track. my little trailer was 160$, hitch mount was like $150. hoosier has a nice DOT cheater slick that would be another option to the MT
the et streets will be much more forgiving for the stick car and will be easier on driveline parts and will outperform the old tire..get ur *** to the track
