Default Anyone running a 15x10 For Drag Racing?

Anyone running anything 10 inches wide? If so, are you running it on stock suspension and everything?

Will my stock Z handle a 10inch wide wheel comfortably, and what are my offset options to run? I know the tire I want will fit as someone else is running it, but hes running an 8.5. Curious what my options are.

Thanks!

A simple search will answer every question you just asked...

The majority of aftermarket wheels purchased by the community have widths of 9.5" fronts and 10.5" rear, again majority. So yes, a 10" width will fit just fine, even with stock suspension. A range of offsets to choose for a 10" width could be anywhere from 0 to +25. Anything higher than that will have the wheel sitting too far inside the wheel well and will not look all that great.

If i was you, i would cruise the Wheel/tire threads and look at pictures of similar setups that you plan to run, to see how it looks. Research and do more research before you purchase anything. Good luck!

I appreciate the input, thank you!

So what Im looking at getting is a 15x10, offset unknown at the time as the guy selling them is not entirely sure. What I do know is I put on a 30mm offset mustang wheel on the car and it did infact sit in from the fender, and this guy said these wheels should be higher offset than the stock mustang wheel. If the offset is around, +40 to +44 could I get away with that? Not too worried about where it sits or for looks as this is for the track (trying to cut down my damn 60ft lol), and I could always put a spacer on it.

Ive tried to read up on this offset stuff and it just confuses me lol

it will need to be a 6.5" backspace or a +25 offset to clear the suspension, well depending on what tire you are using. the higher the offset the closer the tire will be to the suspension. i wouldnt go much further back than +30, as that might rub with a racing tire as they expand

Ahhh I got ya. I think maybe I misunderstood him than. He should have the wheels and tires mounted soon so I can test them out.

Thanks everyone

Did you say a 15x10?

I have 17x10.5 +27 rear and the smaller diameter of the 17 inch wheel is really close to suspension arms, a 15x10 with high offset may hit the spring cup.

Yeah 15x10. No none of this mexiflush stuff. Functional drag radials for the track. 15 for a higher sidewall if possible. The set up is 15x10 race star's, wrapped in a 26x11.5x15, which I think is something like 315x50x15. My buddy is mounting them tomorrow so I should be able to test fit then

Post or search in the Motorsports section for drag. I could be wrong but i think 16's are the smallest that will work.

I did, however I was unable to get much on who ran a 10 inch wheel. I figured I'd have a better chance at seeing who was running 10 wide and what offset with the stance crew, hence I came to the wheel section

I hope 16 isnt the smallest though lol

I ran 15x8 wheels with my 10.5 wide slicks and they fit fine. Tires were 28" tall on stock suspension.
