Default lost my tranny

well just got my car back from AAM yesterday and today I noticed a slipping like my TCS was on so I turned that off and it still happened. I had to drive my car home doing 5 mph and couldnt shift gears and anything over that speed it was just slip and I would have to stop put it in park and then back in drive to start moving again

So I guess my tranny is shot? I tryed to look for the fluid check but have no idea where it is? I have to wonder if having FI has anything to do with this?

Is this an Automatic? I had this big reply typed out about burned clutches, and then I re-read your post. If you have an automatic, it doesn't look good. Oh, there's no fluid dipstick for Auto Trannies in the Z. Best of luck in any case.

yep its a AT bro. I talked to a buddy what works in service at the dealer and he said there might be a chance he could get my warrenty to cover it. I told him I would take care of him if he did.

Yep its the blower. Trannies prolly not designed for the extra hp. How hard do you get on your car? Lauches, gear shifts, etc?

I was just talking to dave at AAM yesterday about doing my tranny upgrades. I am thinking when I get my new tranny I might as well have them do the torque converter and VB upgrade then. man this is going to brake the bank.

gotta pay to play...it sucks sometimes but it's all part of the modding game. Good luck with the trans.

There are so many things that can go wrong with a tranny, don't automatically assume that the entire thing is shot. Have some real diagnostic work done before you shell out all that money.

think I am going to get lucky and the dealer is covering everything. buddy in service said he will make it work. I pray he does. also said anything thing wrong they will just replace the tranny anyway.
