the "revup" engine has many new items. it has exhaust side variable timing, new cams, new rods i think and a few other items to help it rev up to 7100. oh it also has the new lower plenum.

yes, you can get the mrev mod. any "revup" engine can use it. i would look into either getting a plenum spacer and/or the mrev mod. they will help your engine alot. i would suggest motordyne since you can just buy the complete package (iso thermal, mrev, and spacer). the iso thermal is up to you....

I believe all 05 Anniv Z's come with the Revup engine. I would go with the MREV mod if I were you.

I heard some forums/site stating that the rev-up motor has different internals.. rods etc and it is stronger and will be able to handel boost better? but then i heard somewhere on this forum stating that even though the part number are different. its still the same thing..

has anyone been able to confirm any of these findings?

the revup is the stock engine in the 300hp z. its called revup cuz it revs higher than the 287hp engine.

the rev up engine's redline goes to 7000 rpms

the normal engine goes to 6600 rpms

that's an easy way to check.

All automatics are the normal engine

The 300Hp "Rev up" motor only came with the 6Spd Trans on 35Th edition. If you have an automatic Trans you have the standard 287HP motor.

Its not that you can't its just that it won't benefit you as much because it'll have the same exact lower plenum so in the end you are pretty much just getting a spacer with the MREV kit.

I have the 35th with auto and installed the motordyne plenum, thermal spacer, and copper TBH with zero issues.
