Any tips? Pointers? I realize I'll be removing both timing covers, and using zip ties to make sure the chains are on the correct sprockets as well as using nail polish, but in terms of the tensioners, any tips????
I'm doing the install next weekend and figure that leaves 3 days to complete it......Most people say 10 hours but I figure I'd start friday night on the disassembly, and hope to have the timing covers off by midday saturday, leaving the rest the tedius removal of the cam caps, etc.

So, does anyone have any tips? I mean, do the belt/pullies have to be removed or what?

My tips-
Mark where the cam saddles are positioned and where the bolts came out of (I took a picture)
Buy a great In-Lb torque wrench.
Buy zip lock bags to mark where all the bolts came from.
Are you keeping the motor in the car?
(If keeping the motor in the car) Buy a 2 foot long extension with swivel (Which Iam sure you have) for the rear valve cover bolts.
Buy 2 tubes of high temp grey RTV (To reseal front timing cover and oil pan.)
When you get to the timing tensions/plungers make sure you have 3 1.5 Allen keys handy to keep them from pushing tension on the chain.
Power tools help a ton.
That is pretty much all a can say..
I have done this 5 times now so if you have any question feel free to PM me.
Some other things-
Be sure to put the car at TDC on piston 1 (Be sure its on compression stroke)with the marks on the crank pully and front timing cover- then loosen the bolt for the crank pully before you put the car in the air.
Only the front timing cover has to come off.... I saw you said covers
The manual will tell you to pull the covers off the timing cover for the water pump ETC. -that is not needed.
