Wow talk about an advancement. I'm very impressed. I just can't wait too see what kind of power levels we'll see with this motor and on what cars.

Sound insulating engine cover, Thats gotta go!
Do you guys think the price will go up for the Z with the introduction of this new engine?

NA gains in the new VQ will be extremely difficult. It has a dual exhaust and equal length headers stock.

Next is Shows 0-100km Acceleration dropping by 1.5 Seconds!

It then show Fuel Efficenty up 10%.

I imagine that they will adjust the price accordingly, equal length piping and dual intakes, makes me smile thinking what that engine could do.

I wanted to save and wait for the 07's, but in the same respect the price of a new one would of just totally jumped out of my reach. Im happy with my recently purchased 05

the presentation said the new vq has higher compression ratio. not a good thing for FI. At least not without building the motor...

methinks 03-06 vq will still be the engine of choice for FI enthusiasts...

No, but your somewhat on the right track, making the engine breath easier with dual intakes, upping the compression, and having equal length piping can do alot to increase the power. I believe that 1second can be in grasp. As far as the 1.5, that remains to be seen.

This has never been the best method to extract power anyways . What is that supposed to mean.

Check out the early reviews of the new motor on the upcoming G35 sedan - the 0-60 went way down to 5.2 secs (the weight seems to be about the same and the HP went up by 25 or so).

That's not a 1 sec drop, but if you consider drivetrain loss, it is still respectable. I'm sure the Z might make it sub 5 sec.
