Default Breakin over! Some thoughts.

Well, I took it to redline a few times since I passed break-in yesterday. It sounds mean once it gets in those high rpms. However, it's not as impressive sounding as my old Acura RSX-S. And the RSX-S only had an i-vtec 4 in it. I'm gonna have to get a CAI. And about acceleration...I couldn't really tell how quick it got up there. THe sound of my Acura made it feel faster Anyways, I wanna dyno my car this spring...I'm curious to see the hp/tq output.

And btw, does anyone know why our cars are so damned heavy? Has anyone broken it down in their heads?

ya I've heard I-Vtech, when I test drove an rsx-s .. Its pretty loud, kinda made my ears hurt haha, but U just gotta love the exhaust on this thing. And Im not really sure how much an intake will change the sound, as far as I know It doesn't affect sound as much as intakes do in other cars??.. but damn, the Z sounds like an effing Race car!

Was the CAI in a Z or a RSX? Yeah those 4 bangers sound nice... I had a Celica GTS before this.. but drive the Z for a bit and get back into your old RSX.. you'll think its broken...

phile , being an RSX-S owner and pretty sure to get the Z. What did you think going from the S to the Z?? If you could give me your opinions and whether you think it is worth it?

Well I like the sound at high rpms of the rsx-s better. But an intake will fix all that.

Pros: The exhaust sound in the Z is awesome, the engine sounds mean when it accelerates, it has alot more pickup than the rsx-s, it has power at low rpms, it's an actual sports car (where as the rsx-s is a sport compact), AWESOME handling (although the rsx-s has great handling too, but not comparable to the z).

Cons:costs alot more, doesn't work in the snow at all, not as impressive high rpm sound, factory and bose quality are both inferior to rsx-s bose(remember I say quality it has nothing to do with bass loudness, which was a prob in the rsx-s), intrerior of the rsx-s was nicer in some ways, interio of z looks cheaper than the rsx-s.

I'm sure I left out some stuff. I am very happy with my purchase. I love my DB Z. I get alot of looks every day! I wish the interior was nicer, and I wish it had a little more power. Other than that...it's perfect!

I have Michelin Pilot Alpins on my Z for the winter and it gets around in the snow BETTER than my FWD maxima with all-seasons does.
