Dealer just called, they want to do a leak down test and compression test tomorrow. What do these tests entail exactly? They said it's going to take the whole day, but I'll get a loaner. Hopefully a new G35 sedan.

The engine consumed 3 quarts in the last 1000 miles, so I'm sure that the compression test is going to be off. I can already feel the car losing power.

^Not to get completely off topic here, but with Dynos you have many many factors that can give you different numbers on a different day...exact same machine-same tune shop y/n; same Dyno manufacture y/n; ambient temp/pressure/humidity/SAE corrected or Standard...etc.

Don't know if this is fact or fiction, but have heard our VQ's finally loosen up internally (total break-in) at around 8-10K on engine. But your at 12K on your VQ, so idk what to say otherwise.

What was the mileage difference between each dyno? I'm willing to bet your new motor isn't even close to being broken in yet. Dyno it again around the same mileage as the other one and I'm willing to bet you see better numbers.

Hello Everyone, This is my first post on the forum but I have been keeping an eye on this thread for the past few months.

I Have a 06 MT 350Z 31k miles with the AC7MZ (V2) Engine that was put in last night finally after 4 months of going back and forth and having to call nissan motor corp.

*My suggestion to everyone trying or waiting for the V2 is to call nissan motors directly if the dealer is messing around. My dealer was doing that to me for 4 months until I called nissan and long behold my engine was installed within a week.

Heres the issue im having and am hoping someone can share some light on it for me.

Drove the car 120miles already today and my engine is sluggish and has a lag! I feel like im driving a old 4 cylinder vehicle. I thought It may take some miles for the ECU to adapt as I have a KN Intake and Custom Exhaust installed, so I drove it for awhile and still have the lag and sluggish feeling. My V1 with the OC problem drove better! Any ideas?

Dont know what else to do so Im going to take it to the dealer again monday and if the issue is not solved I will be suing nissan and will provide all of you my lawyers info if you would like to join the suit as I employee a full time lawyer so there will be no cost except filing fees.
Im done with this BS. New cars should not do this! We pay money for a proper running product is the bottum line!

Default Class Action?

Has anyone heard of this website?
Looks like there's a group of people preparing a class action against nissan.
Any idea about this website?

So should I wait until the v2 proves to be working? It seems like a mix bag, some no more oc problem, lost power, I have to check my car if I am having oc problems now. Maybe even v3 enginge, lol.

Oh, sorry about that, I just said that, I was just saying maybe they will make another engine if the v2 doesn't actually fix the problem, there is no v3....that I know of, lol. Sorry about the confusion. Maybe they should just replace oc engines with the HR motor.

Well add me to the list of oil burning 06's . I'm at the dealer now . Has any had the dealership say anything to about mods on the car ? The service tech said he needs to talk to the manager cause of my mods . None of the mods I have could cause the engine to burn oil . Should I call nissan north america ?

well, my V-2 has officially gone through 3 oil consumption tests at universal nissan all at 1k intervals then at 3k and no oil consumption. But there is something really odd to note..

when checking your oil in the revup motor make sure when the oil test is done that you leave the car untouched for 10mins or so before checking it letting her settle.

I have seen odd things like if you check your oil upon running it may seem off on the stick because of our retarted stick but when i let the car settle the damn oil goes exactly where it was on H. Maybey the oil cirulating.
But yea,....after doing 3 cycles the amcz engine has done it for me using 0w40mobile 1 . Good luck fellas

Default V2 has been ordered..

Finally!
I hope to get my z back in the second week of Jan (/me, hopes the weather is nice enough to drive)
I will keep this thread updated with my results. *crosses fingers*

P.S: My thanks goes out to all those that pushed/forced Nissan to issue the TSB.

Infiniti is saying that my headers caused me to lose 3 quarts in 1000 miles on my G35. No one with any car knowledge can explain how this can actually occur. This is pretty bogus considering that Nismo sells headers via dealerships.
