Coming up to the 1200 mile mark with my V2. Had the first oil changed out at 500 miles. Feels nice and strong, but I do notice some soot building up again in the tailpipes. Hopefully it is just from breaking in and stuff, not from another burner. Dealer has been great with fixing/helping so far.

The soot is normal, remember you had blow by on the old engine and it got into the cats. So what you are seeing is the burn off from the cats, also the fuel dilution from all of the assembly lubes will cause OC on a freshly built engine.

Get a UOA from Dyson, he will get you in tune and be able to see what condition the engine is in.

Cheers
Curtis

I cleaned inside of my tips not to long after getting my V2 and haven't cleaned since. There's a little now with ~4200 on V2, but not even close the same in comparison to my old VQ.

I have another 100 miles left before my 1000 mile mark on the OC test. I hope this new engine will be worth it.

Even with the OC problem that I am having, my engine still pulls very strong. I am still chirping on first and secong gear with Traction Control on. The V2 better chirp in all gears! lol

I bet if you read the thread you can figure this out yourself...and dont need others help...

if not...
then we assume you dont give a rats about your car so figure it out youself.

Lazy people, everyone wants a hand out.... Read the thread man...or live with your issue...thats my take...

sorry to be rude man, but you are talking about a lot of money... this isnt a replacement phone.... take the time to take care of yourself for a change and read the well informative thread that can help you.

there is also a search feature.

my two cents.

He is talking about the MM ruler that determines if it fail do to consumption. (in other words, he still has an OC issue even with the V2)

Please let your engine break in somewhat before determining that your V2 is "failing".

Mine ate close to three quarts total during the first 5k miles. After that it hasn't moved (12k on the v2)

I still cannot believe NISSAN/INFINITI has not come out publicly about this issue... this sucks for all the people buying used 2005-2007 with 11K miles thinking they are getting a quality product when the ods are the engine has been changed serveral times!

BS we should all band together and sue...I have 500 bucks on the team lawyer....lol
