This is interesting to me... IMO when you introduced new pistons into the equation, the combustion chamber must've gotten less efficient. That is why you need more fuel to burn up the O2 you are getting into the cylinder.

Cool stuff, I'll be checking back for updates since you're pretty much my N/A hero right now

Thanks, that's the info I was looking for. I don't want to buy two sets of pistons, so I guess I'll just go with the Nismo heads (smaller chamber) and drop it back down with pistons when I do the shortblock. I just hope the valve angle on the Nismo heads is the same as stock so I can use my S7 Cams. 'Course, I don't even know if Nismo has '06 heads yet, but I guess I'll find out.

Are you going to have to check the valve clearance again with these new cams, or can they assure you that they are similar enough to the cams you have in now that you don't need to check it again?

i am going to take the motor apart again soon and clay it before i get my cams ground. i will do this very soon. probably change the headgasket to HKS and do a couple other small things.

i will be porting out some things (intake manifold) too here soon to see if that helps out.
