id say reserach a lil maing
cuase the vq with a forged internals can be quit mean and has lots of potential FI
and it will be cheaper than a swap in teh end i think

if you buy and 07 there is even more potential to get out of the new HR engine.. =]

I say go TT on the VQ. If you had all the money you could imagine and you were going to do a full rb26dett awd swap like the jun 350z, then I'd say hell yeah and go for it. Long story. I think it will cost you way too much money. If you looking for extreme power, fully build the VQ and go with TT set up. You will definately be satisfied.

it doesnt matter what yr. Z you get. Revups and nonrevups can be boosted. Havent seen a HR boosted yet but I am sure you will soon though. Although those higher comp. pistons might be a problem...

yah. HR has stronger pistons/rods but more compresion and higher rev limiter.

I think Vortech will have an 07 FI-ed soon

One question....why would you put a Silvia differential in it?

Just get a new Cusco, Nismo, or Quafe lsd and call it a day.

Oh yea, not to sound like an *** but......Do more research!

definatly would be one hell of an engine swap. Gotta love those RB's but the VQ can be heavily modified to outperform or stay neck to neck with that skyline swap. Not to mention it would probably cost you 5k cheaper to build the VQ you already have... unless you have the RB laying around already? If so, i got a 240 i would love to put it in? up for sale?

if you got the money to do the RB swaps do it. Its a straight turbod 6 vs. and v6 NA that your putting forced induction to. The RB block is alot stronger. Its good for over 700whp. Plus its a motor that came from the factory turbod so you know its gonna be reliable. If your will to build a whole motor ie new block and everything thats a diff story.

Stick with the VQ. For the price of an RB engine, transmission and the price of installation, you can have a fully built and twin'd Z.
