Default Decel Vibration Right At 2200 Rpm..??

Whats up everyone....
Last night for the first time I noticed a quick light vibration at exactly 2200 rpm's that only occurs in gear while the car is de-celling...I verified the vibration about a dozen times in 2nd and 3rd gear at speeds under 35 mph....I have a fujitsibo y pipe back exhaust and kinetix resonated test pipes that have been on there for 2k miles and never heard any kind of sound until last night...
I had the car jacked up last night checking the exhaust for rattles, squeeks, and loose bolts and everything seemed fine...The noise is also a low pitched sound, not a loose squeek type sound....Oh and it is not the "exhaust rasp" sound that we all get.....Any ideas?? I know this will drive me crazy until I figure it out!!!! thanks!!

If it is a vibration in the stick/drivetrain it is normal. Mine does it at about 2700 on decel

Naah, not in drivtrain or stick shift vibration, this is more like something that rubs for about 1 second then dissapears underneath the car somewhere, and its only right at 2200 rpm's then dissapears right away.. !!!Thanks for a quick reply and suggestion though..!!

Mine also only last about 50-100 rpms or so about a second. Search it has been talked about before.

If it sounds like it is out side the car then the Y pipe flex joints are the closest to the under body so you might want to look there. If your test pipes dont have the braces on them then the exhoust will move alot under load and you might think you have plenty of room but when the engine move the whole exhaust will move alot.

I did search for about a half hour or so and couldnt seem to find anything directly related...But I will check the y-pipe area better to see what I can find...I was also reading about people having "M" brace rubbing with a/m exhaust systems as well....

Also check the brace just aft where the y pipe meets the mid pipe. They have rubbed there before.

Let us know what you find.

Ok, so I had the car up in the air today and checked the exhaust, braces, shields. etc and everything was plenty tight and the exhaust has lots of room to flex without rubbing anything......Would someone be kind enough to check and see if there car does the same thing??? Basically just turn the radio down and keep it in either 2nd or 3rd gear and decell from 3k rpm and listen as the rpm's fall through the 2500-2200 area for a rubbing type sound that can faintly be heard if there......thanks, I would really appriciate this...

Well after about a week or so of messing with this thing I finally figured out the problem...I jacked the car up and got someone to rev the car until I could barley start to hear the vibration sound from underneath the car....Turns out its the factory y-pipe rattleing internally around the flex joint!!! In case anyone ever hears this on there car, please start there first to possibly eliminating lots of time figuring this out!!!

I appriciate all the help and suggestions along the way though guys..!!

So you fix it or you just going to deal with a broken Y?

Well, its actually not really broken per say....Most people that ride with me cannot hear it unless I point it out since it only happens for about 1-200 rpm's.....Its probably the combination of not having a brace on the test pipes and the heat shields/flex joints on the y pipe that cant hold the massive vibrations on the decel///None the less I plan on getting a high flow y pipe anyways...

It happend to me and I changed the flex joint and the ratteling increased. Looked like i it was a harder flex joint. Changed it again to a softer one and the noise went down a lot and can barelt be heard

Did you just change the flex joint itself, or get a completely new y pipe??? I was just going to go with a new y, but Im always up for suggestions...
