The LSD is the same for both the 6MT and the auto. The difference is the ring and pinion. The ring and pinion from the auto will bolt to any LSD.

axel stubs (flanges) are different for auto with open diff and 6 m/t. If u have open diff now the quaife atb would work with you flanges, if u have h flanges that come with the oem vlsd, than the nismo or cusco or tomei would work without buying new flanges ($125 each)

From what I understand, it doesn't have anything to do with whether the car has a 6MT or auto. The difference is between the open diff case and the VLSD case. The only difference between 6MT and auto cars is the gear ratio.

Thats not correct. Not only is the ring gear different on the auto, it is also thicker, and the ring gear shelf on the diff is 10mm lower, so no, they are not interchangeable at all.

Quaife makes a diff for the automatic's.

just installed the quaife lsd for a auto rear diff for my 6MT setup...works great...order new bearings from nissan, contact jim @ turbo toys for standrad stub shafts if your current rear diff is factory LSD (diff stub shafts)...

I'll be happy to give you pointers if you go through with it.

not true at all

the diffs are absolutely different between MT and auto cars. As I recall you can install an auto into a manual pumpkin but not vice versa

I know Quiafe does an auto version, so does Cusco - those are the only 2 I know of

AT Quaife may not be available any longer... I know AutoTech (previously Quaife America) no longer carries them... possibly a vendor/dealer might have one in stock but all that I consulted order direct from Auto Tech as needed.

I took some shots this afternoon highlighting the difference between th 3.357 and 3.538 as well as the VLSD and open diffs. I should have them up later this week.

I'm 99.9% sure those are the only two options for the 3.357.

Axle stubs are independent of whether it is a 3.357 or 3.538, they depend on the differential type. Open diff has equal length stubs and VLSD has unequal.

Dont give advice when you clearly have no idea what you are talking about!
Both Quaife and Cusco make LSD's for the auto.

How did you get that info? Did you contact Quaife (AutoTech) directly? The reason I ask is because the auto diff for the 350Z/G35 is still listed on their website. I realize, of course, that it's possible they have not updated the website yet. But I'm curious.

I really hope they don't stop making the A/T version of their diff. That was the diff I was planning on getting in the future for my build project.
