Rcr, how about you don't post anymore. Especially since you don't even belong on this site.

And the light will turn on when you got hardly any oil left in the car, around 1-2 quarts normally.

Some people don't know the difference between a flat tire and the alignment being off man. Many out there don't even know that the belts or whatever else needs to be replaced on a schedule. When he thought it was his tranny having a issue that is what he thought.
I've had my car have about one quart of oil in it (when I first learned about the revup oil eating issues) and the oil light was not on. Oil pressure was around 5-10psi at idle and would go up to 20 or so during regular driving. Granted, it should be three times that but I didn't know any better after 3.5k miles of driving in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, the point is to not rely on your oil pressure gauge, as it is not an accurate measurement tool of oil volume, and to not rely on status lights. Usually if the oil light comes on, you've already done harm to your engine. Regularly check your fluids and don't depend on the car to grab you by the throat and tell you when it needs them.

Also, chances are that people who don't check their fluids probably won't even know what a "low oil" light means, or how serious it is (See all the posts about "I HAVE A ORANGE LIGHT WITH A ! IN IT WHAT DOES THIS MEAN BECAUSE I CANT RTFM).

I've heard of several owners being able to get it in three days. Maybe you'll get lucky and get it fast like them.
